Today’s Daily Act of Personal Amusement comes from the road, but it doesn’t require leaving the state to perform.
Try to do a cartwheel (emphasis on the word “try”). I cleared the floor of my hotel room and made a few attempts at it. I think I came pretty close to pulling [...]

Road Trip

Filed Under Me | Leave a Comment

Spent 6 hours on the road today driving to Pittsburgh for a meeting tomorrow morning. Once the meeting concludes sometime tomorrow afternoon (early afternoon hopefully) it’s a 6 hour drive home. Ask me again why am I doing this? It isn’t for the pay or status. Must be for the cool company [...]

The Daily Acts of Personal Amusement took the weekend off, but here is Monday’s installment:
Screensaver Edit
Discretely change a co-worker’s screensaver. If time allows, change it to a scrolling marquee with the following phrase, “Oooooooooooooooooooooooh, that feels much, much better!” or something else innocuous that will have them scratching their head over the meaning.

There will be some site modifications taking place this week. It looks quite bare here, and I’m anticipating a shadowless Groundhog’s Day so spring cleaning will start early. One of the first improvements is a new header image because I am tired of the current one. It was a 2am [...]

Excuse me, can you direct me towards the bathroom?
Where is the (bread, milk, cereal, etc) aisle?
I’ll have a number 4 combo super sized with a Coke. (or whatever it [...]

For today’s Daily Act of Personal Amusement, I give you the Escalator Ski Jump. This one doesn’t require any additional people but does require an escalator.
At the top of a down escalator, grab the handrails at least one or two steps forward from the one you place your feet on. When the stairs [...]

Had a doctor’s appointment today. Nothing too serious, although it did require creating a new posting category for posts about me specifically. I don’t really post much about myself. I figure the internet is full of people providing glimpses of their daily life, people whose lives were a smidge more interesting [...]
